Every year the portuguese league is getting more balanced, not better, just balanced. So the number of draws is increasing. In the 1st round 4 out of 8 games were draws.

So this round I will bet draw in all 8 games. This round is even better for draws as there are usually 3 games that are not that balanced, those involving Sporting, Porto and Benfica but this round there's a Porto Vs Sporting that makes it even more likely to have draws.

Benfica can't fail today.
After Everton convinced Manuel Fernades not to show up for this decisive game (nice way to do business there goes the British manners) Benfica must win and show everyone (especially Fernandes that is so eager to leave for a mid-table club) that is one of the top clubs in the world.
Benfica beated Kopenhagen 3-1 last season in the groups stage of the champions league and they can do it again today.
The team as been reinforced especially in the attack with a new striker, Oscar Cardozo for 9M euros that will certainly try to score in is first official game.
Also keep an eye ouy for Freddy Adu the wonder kid that is expected do start on the bench but will certainly play in second half.

Note: The blog's "one bet one unit" model showed some problems today. I actually made much more profit on my betting account than on the blog because my bet on Benfica without the handicap was twice as high as the bet with handicap.
Because of this, if this kind of bets happens again I may make a bet with doubled stakes so to cover the possible losses of the handicap match.

Ok it's the beginning of a new football season and the start of a new era for this blog.

After a couple of years of betting (and a life of sports watching) I’m getting pretty good at it so I decided to start a blog to share my picks with the world. This blog is like a version 2.0 of my last betting blog because I now decided to write in English so I can reach a larger audience.

So this is how it’s going to work:
-All bets are going to be worth one unit.
-Most bets will be football (soccer if you’re American) bets.
-I will try to make the picks and the outcomes as clear as I can.
-For the time being and since we’re only starting, there will be no long term tracking of the results.
